GAP Analysis (ISO 14001). GAP Analysis (ISO 14001). For the GAP analysis below was guidance from the instructor of changes to make.
In the top row, you should indicate versions for ISO 14001 and 9001. The sample provided in lessons uses ISO 14001:1996 and ISO 9001:2000. Your organization, Suburban Manufacturing, conforms to ISO 9001:2008, not the older 2000 version that is used in the sample. It’s okay to just change the version indicated from 2000 to 2008 in your gap analysis. The requirements are basically unchanged. The 2008 update was made mainly to clarify some of the requirements. There are, however, major differences between ISO 14001:1996 and the later 2004 version. Since your textbook and the matrix provided for this exercise use the 1996 version, it will be easiest to go with 1996, but that decision is up to you. If you are willing to do the extra work, you can go with 2004.
