Choose ONE of the following to research: Plotinus, Epicurus, Lucretius, Epictetus, Sextus Empiricus, Augustine, Anselm, or Thomas Aquinas, Boethius, Avicenna

Total 25 Overall Points of Final Grade Calculation:

First, the paper will be 2-3 pages (of one of the philosophers above) with an additional page including a timeline of all of the Hellenistic and Medieval philosophers listed above; paper and timeline =20 overall points. Each philosopher (above) needs to be mapped with a sentence or two explaining the main theory he represents. You may find the short summaries helpful at the end of each chapter: Chapters 5-8 of Hellenistic and Medieval Philosophy. Be as creative as you like with your timeline.

Be sure to include an additional page of References or Works Cited of 2-3 different sources only from the LSCUP online library sources; reference page = 5 overall points. Your textbook can count as one of your sources. Librarians will be available online through our D2L classroom to assist you with any question regarding your research.
