McDonald’s makes hamburgers, GM makes cars, and Dunkin’ makes donuts. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the church is to make disciples. However, if the church evaluated itself as McD, GM, and Dunkin’ Donuts measure their production, would the results be satisfactory? As in the parable of the talents, would Christ say to the church, “Well done, My good and faithful servant?” Are the talents ten or one in the church? (see Mt 25:14-30). These are important questions; however, even if a church is not measuring up now, the outcome can be changed immediately with even one dedicated soul winner.

 Read Becoming a Contagious Christian, Chapters 1-3.

 In an initial post, discuss your church’s current evangelistic efforts. Through the following questions:
o Would you say your church as a whole has a heart for evangelism? Why or why not?
o What is your church currently doing on a system wide basis to share the gospel, if any?
o What is your church’s overall strategy for evangelism? What changes might you want to make?
o You do not need to mention the name of your church if you would rather not.

 Use the Discussion rubric in the Syllabus to guide your initial post and replies to the posts of your fellow students.
