• Use the format available on the course management system. HINT: Save the document onto your disk before working on the report.
• All sections must be typed double-spaced and in font no smaller than 12 point Times Roman.
• All charts (i.e. Excel) and separation scheme (i.e. Powerpoint) must be typed.

Outline of the procedure:
This should be a typed, formal version of your separation scheme. It must represent what format you followed. You must also include the original approved separation scheme.
Expected experiment results:
This should be a typed, formal chart of all the characteristic of the potential microbes that are in your sample.
ALL the data sheets you used while collecting your samples. Whether you used the sample for identification or not, you should fill out a data sheet if you performed a Gram stain and looked at the sample with the microscope. Each data sheet should be defined by the sample number and grid number.
With words explain what was done in the project from the moment I handed you your unknown, what did you do, why each step conducted, what was observed (i.e. layman’s terms), and what do the results mean. You do not need to describe the intricate steps of the technique. Clearly explain the expected information and gathered data as if the audience is visually impaired and unable to see your previous sections. If you have data (i.e. samples evaluated but not continued) that were not used or had poor results, explain why you did not continue investigating them. Include a logical explanation of what you are concluding. Do not simply state that your results match the expected experiment results of organism X and therefore is organism X. This section must be written in past passive tense.
