Please watch the following videos on the Ikea plant experiment. After the videos are some questions.
First, do the results “speak for themselves”? If so, in what way? If not, in what way? (Hint: results never “speak for themselves.” Data always need to be properly interpreted.
Second, how is the experiment flawed?
Third, even if the experiment is flawed, does it matter? In other words, even if the experiment is flawed isn’t the message that it sends more important than getting an experiment right? (Hint: it does matter.)
