I’m working on a Algebra question and need guidance to help me study.
For the Unit 10 Discussion Board, you will complete a reflective essay to address the following questions:
- Consider what you know about personal financial matters. Where did you gain this knowledge? Did you learn about these matters in school or some other deliberate training, or did you learn from personal experience? Are you satisfied with your level of knowledge on personal financial matters? Are you satisfied with how you have handled money in the past?
- Consider your calculations from the Unit 9 Discussion Board. How do changes in interest rate, time, and compounding affect the amount of interest earned on an investment? What changes will you make in the way you deal with money based on what you learned?
- Will you be making any changes in the way that you handle financial matters based on what you learned? If so, what will you do differently? What do you wish you had known earlier in your financial life? What financial advice would you give to a young person just starting out?

Planning for the Future
After you have contemplated the questions above, draft your reflective essay. Every piece of writing should have an introduction, body, and conclusion. A good way to plan this particular reflective essay is to write an introduction to the essay. Next, write at least three body paragraphs and address each of the points listed above. End your essay with a conclusion paragraph tying all of your ideas together. The essay should be at least five paragraphs in length. You can find an example of a five paragraph essay here.
You are expected to use outside sources for this essay. Cite outside sources in proper APA format. You can find numerous APA resources in the Writing Center Writing Reference Library on the Research, Citation, and Plagiarism page.
Research, Citation and Plagiarism
Your essay should include a highly developed purpose and viewpoint; it should also be written in Standard American English and demonstrate exceptional content, organization, style, grammar, and mechanics. There should be no evidence of plagiarism. If you are unsure about what constitutes plagiarism, please review the plagiarism policy.
Here is my Unit 9 post for bullet 2
For an initial capital of $8,000, annual interest rate of 3%, and 14 years collecting interest, the total amount of money at the end of this time is:
A = p (1+r/n)^nt
A = 8000(1+0.03/365)^365×14
A = 8000 x 1.0000822^5110
A = $12,175.48
At the end of this period, I would have approximately 12,175 dollars, which I would use to buy a small farm.
