In doing so, consider and answer the following questions (Please make sure to format this as an essay, so you should not use bullet points for this section):What are some of the ethical considerations raised by the documentary? How do these ethical considerations relate to course concepts? What groups are affected by these considerations, and to what end? For instance, in the context of the documentary you’ve selected, whom does surveillance benefit and whom does it harm? What are the ethical considerations of certain groups benefitting/being harmed over others? What are the implications of the ethical considerations that you’ve identified and discussed? Media Kit Part Two (Right Pocket)

Media Kit Part Two (Right Pocket). Media Kit Part Two (Right Pocket). You have just been hired by the Visit Philadelphia organization to promote the opening of the new Museum of the American Revolution. There is a lot of "buzz" already about this organization so the Visit Philadelphia organization wants to have its own media information available for anyone who contacts them about the museum.
The left pocket of the media kit will include "evergreen" information that sets the stage for the museum. It will likely include information about the museum with some other information about the city and its history, tourism, and communications options open for those wishing to visit the area. [You are preparing this as part one of the assignment.]
The right pocket of the media kit will include information specific to the museum’s grand opening and related activities, events, or accomplishments. You will want to develop a short list for yourself of the things you wish to include in this kit. Remember, the news release assignments on personnel, soft news, and research are items you can include here. It would also be "natural" to include an announcement release about the grand opening.
For this portion of the Media Kit you will prepare:
Grand Opening Announcement Release
Feature Release
Related Event/Information Release (ie: special speaker, performance, research, personnel, etc.)
Agenda/instructions/contact information (for this I will provide a sample from FOX)
The full kit is due by the end of the regular term (May 5). We will have writing workshops to prepare these items in class during the month of April as time permits.

Tom Brady Football deflated scandal

Tom Brady Football deflated scandal. Tom Brady Football deflated scandal. Being a case study, you should use a particular example to analyze and illustrate your thesis or principle. A key aspect of your analysis is relating your topic back to sports communication and explaining its impact, whether positive or negative. You could choose to talk about the impact in teams of the four main actors of sports communication – fans, media, organizations and players.

You should have at least 5 sources and include a bibliography on a separate page in APA 6th edition style. The textbook may count as one source.

Each paper topic needs to be APPROVED IN ADVANCE.

Style and Format:

Since debate is not only about the argument itself but also about the presentation of the argument, all papers will follow a strict format. All papers have to be typed and double spaced in Times New Roman 11 or 12 point font only. The margins must be 1” on all sides. An unnumbered cover page must be included with the title of the paper, your name, due date, class and teacher’s name. The cover page does not towards your minimum page amount. You must number the pages, with page 1 being the first page of your paper (i.e., not the cover page).

The way an argument is presented it important. In addition to the quality of the research and arguments presented, grammar and writing style will be factored into your grade. I am not going to be overzealous in correcting every small grammatical problem, however, egregious mistakes, usually the result of lack of proofreading, will hurt your grade. In order to avoid losing points, I suggest you proofread your paper.

A bibliography/works cited page must be included with all papers. Any bibliography/work cited page(s) must be numbered with the rest of the written text but the bibliography/work cited page(s) do not count toward your minimum page amount.

All bibliography/works cited must be done according to APA 6th edition guidelines (this is a standard format for almost all academic writing in Communication). APA 6th edition also uses in-text citation, i.e., not footnotes, to reference outside sources of information. Here is an online resource to help you with citing in APA: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/

chinese immigrants

chinese immigrants. chinese immigrants. Final Paper Assignment: COMM 102 Conflict in Marginalized Populations: (Points Possible: 150. Paper: 125, Presentation 25)
1. In this exercise, students will select a population that has historically been marginalized socially, politically, and/or economically, and research the conflicts that members of that population are likely to experience as a result of belonging to that population. The exercise will be done individually.
2. The nature of marginalization is that when people feel suppressed or disenfranchised within a given society, they are likely to experience conflicts that may not be common among those in non-marginalized groups. For instance, a homeless person may be more likely than one with a home to have conflict with others over space, territory, privacy, and/or safety. A gay or lesbian couple may be more likely than a heterosexual married couple to experience conflicts regarding the legitimacy of their relationship or the forms of social support they receive (or don’t receive) from their families. In other words, marginalization makes certain issues more relevant (and potentially problematic).
3. Select one population to focus on. Research the issues that are particularly relevant (if not unique) to that population that might give rise to conflicts that are less likely to be experienced by those outside of that group. Identify the conflicts, and then examine how the people in the population address the conflicts.
4. You may use a variety of data-gathering methods in your research.
5. These might include: interviewing people from their identified population, searching for news stories about that population (particularly those involving conflicts), talking to professionals who routinely work with and support people from that population, searching the academic literature, and looking for information online. No one source of information will be sufficient, so students need to use a diversity of forms (a minimum of 3).
6. The product of the activity will be a paper which you will present to the class.
7. If you interviewed people as part of the data collection you may use pseudonyms and mask any sensitive or identifying information in the presentations of the findings, to preserve the confidentiality of the interviewees.
Suggested populations: (You may use one not on this list, just run it by me first)
Homeless Single Parents Sexual minorities
Elderly Veterans Immigrants
Mentally ill Disabled persons Teen Mothers/dads
Racial or ethnic minorities Educationally disadvantaged (no high school diploma, etc)
The paper is to be a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 pages in length, double spaced, size 12 font and be mechanically sound. It should have a clear introduction, body and conclusion. There should be a proper internal citation format and contain a Works Cited page using MLA or APA format.
Presentation Criteria: The information you will be presenting to the class is this:
1. Identify the chosen population.
2. Identify and discuss the research methods you used for your paper.
3. Identify the specific conflicts unique to that population you discussed in the paper.
4. Briefly discuss specific courses of action the marginalized person/people take to overcome the conflicts they face.
